Fears and Phobias

Fear is what you experience in the presence of real danger; the feeling is associated with your body preparing to fight the threat or escape from it. This is the “fight or flight” response. A phobia is similar, often with extremely intense feelings of fear, but in a situation where despite the link, there is no actual threat to your safety. If you have learned to avoid whatever it is that triggers the phobic reaction you are actually re-inforcing the fear connection. Often the fear will become detached from the original source and re-attach itself to something else quite innocuous.

Drawing from a variety of techniques Hypnotherapy will seek to discover from your subconscious mind the initial source, change the linkage and thus remove the phobia. You and I will work together to find the best approach, one which is tailored to your needs.
