Counselling
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the highly respected
Chrysalis organisation. This qualification is accredited by the Royal College of
Nursing. I am a Professional Accredited Member of the Counselling Society.
Life often throws things at us that cause stress and anxiety. Events and incidents
from our past come back to “throw us off track" creating upset and confusion.
Bereavement may cause an emotional upheaval that you weren’t expecting or some
other kind of loss, such as the break-up of a relationship may affect you in ways
which you struggle to understand.
Perhaps you are suffering from a loss of confidence, panic attacks, depression or a
lack of motivation. It may be that you just don’t know how you feel; something’s
wrong but you don’t know what or why. Stress can manifest in all sorts of ways -
are you eating inappropriately? Has your libido diminished? Do you worry about
meeting people? Has your confidence flown out of the window? Do you lack motivation
where previously you were driven and successful?
How can I help? The counselling I provide is integrative and intervenient. I am an
excellent listener; perceptive and patient. However, I do not just listen to your
story. I will offer practical advice based on therapeutic models and common sense. I
will work with you to build a relationship of trust and confidence. Absolute
discretion is assured and many clients find the environment safe enough to talk about
matters that they would not dream of discussing with anyone else.
Counselling and Hypnotherapy are talking therapies. If appropriate, and with consent,
it is not unusual for me to use both with a client. The combination provides an
excellent structure for understanding and healing.
If you keep doing the same thing, nothing will change. If you wish to make a
difference in your life, if you wish to see the light at the end of the tunnel and
brighten your future, contact me now. You are assured of my empathy and understanding
in a discreet and professional environment."
